Content Creation & Digital Innovation Awards (CCDIAwards)
These Terms and Conditions govern participation in the Content Creation & Digital Innovation Awards (CCDIAwards). By engaging with CCDIAwards, participants, nominees, and stakeholders agree to comply with the provisions outlined below.
1. General Overview
1.1 Event Alignment: CCDIAwards is an annual event aligned with the United Nations World Creativity and Innovation Day, celebrating creativity, innovation, and digital excellence across Africa.
1.2 Event Date: CCDIAwards 2025 will be held on 21 April 2025, in Lagos, Nigeria.
1.3 Mantra: CCDIAwards operates under the mantra “Celebrating Creativity and Innovation” to honour exceptional contributions to the creative and digital economy.
1.4 Objective: To recognise and reward outstanding achievements in creativity, innovation, and digital excellence that contribute to sustainable development and social impact.
2. Eligibility Criteria
2.1 Nominees: Open to individuals, startups, businesses, government entities, and organisations operating in Africa or contributing to African communities.
2.2 Categories: Nominations are accepted for the 20 categories listed on the official CCDIAwards website.
2.3 Geographic Scope: Nominees must demonstrate relevance to Africa’s creative and digital economy.
2.4 Exclusions: CCDIAwards staff, judges, and their immediate families are ineligible to participate.
3. Nominations
3.1 Submission Deadline: All nominations must be submitted by 14 February 2025 via the CCDIAwards website.
3.2 Submission Process: Nominations must include accurate and complete details, including:
- The nominee’s name and contact information.
- A detailed description of the work, campaign, or initiative.
- Supporting documents, such as links, portfolios, or reports.
3.3 Discretionary Power: In any events and or categories where nomination is inadequate or irrelevant, Content Creation & Digital Innovation Awards (CCDIAwards) has the power to nominate eligible creator(s) or innovator(s). This can be done through adequate consultation with industry experts, management discretion and/or deployment of technology such as Artificial Intelligence (AI).
3.4 Selection: Please note that nomination does not guarantee selection. Regional balance and diversity regarding other relevant factors will be ensured in the selection process.
3.4 Multiple Entries: Individuals or organisations may submit multiple nominations across different categories, provided each nomination meets the specific category criteria.
3.5 Accuracy and Indemnity: False or misleading information will result in disqualification. CCDIAwards management and partners can not be held responsible for any cost or lost in the process of submitting nomination.
4. Evaluation and Judging
4.1 Judging Panel: Independent experts from relevant fields will evaluate nominations based on pre-defined criteria.
4.2 Evaluation Criteria: Judging will adhere to the specific evaluation criteria for each category, including creativity, innovation, impact, and scalability.
4.3 Confidentiality: Judges are bound by confidentiality agreements to ensure fairness and impartiality.
4.4 Final Decision: The judges’ decision is final and binding.
5. Awards and Recognition
5.1 Award Categories: CCDIAwards 2025 includes 20 award categories. Descriptions and criteria for each category are available on the official website.
5.2 Winners: Awards will be presented during the ceremony on 21 April 2025. Winners will receive a trophy and/or certificate of recognition.
5.3 Publicity: CCDIAwards reserves the right to feature winners in promotional materials and media coverage.
6. Workshops and Events
6.1 Workshops: CCDIAwards 2025 will include workshops on the digital economy, designed to empower African youth with skills for the future.
6.2 Participation: Workshop attendees must register via the official CCDIAwards website.
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 Ownership: Nominees retain ownership of their intellectual property.
7.2 Usage Rights: By submitting a nomination, participants grant CCDIAwards the right to showcase their work for promotional purposes, including on the website, social media, and during the awards ceremony.
7.3 Attribution: CCDIAwards will appropriately credit nominees and winners for their work.
8. Privacy and Data Protection
8.1 Data Use: Personal and nomination data will be used solely for the purposes of evaluating entries, event administration, and communication.
8.2 Third Parties: CCDIAwards will not share personal data with third parties without consent, except as required by law.
8.3 Data Security: CCDIAwards employs robust measures to protect all submitted data.
9. Disqualification and Misconduct
9.1 Grounds for Disqualification: CCDIAwards reserves the right to disqualify entries that:
- Fail to meet the nomination criteria.
- Include plagiarised content.
- Misrepresent facts.
9.2 Misconduct: CCDIAwards will not tolerate abusive, discriminatory, or fraudulent behaviour from participants.
10. Sponsorship and Partnership
10.1 Sponsorship Benefits: Sponsors gain exclusive branding, networking, and promotional opportunities as detailed in the sponsorship package.
10.2 Partner Obligations: Sponsors and partners must uphold CCDIAwards’ values and commitment to celebrating creativity and innovation.
11. Amendments and Updates
11.1 Event Changes: CCDIAwards reserves the right to modify event details, including dates, venues, and categories, with prior notice to participants.
11.2 Policy Updates: These terms may be updated periodically. Participants are encouraged to review the latest version on the CCDIAwards website.
12. Governing Law
12.1 These terms are governed by the laws of any nation in the African continent.
